Materials

Pattern Sizes

You can make these decorations in any size you like! Simply adjust the size of the template to fit your needs. You can make them small for a tabletop tree, or large to hang on your regular-sized tree.

How to

  1. Download and print out the tree template here.
  2. Cut out the template and trace it onto your green felt. You will need two tree shapes for each decoration.
  3. Cut out the tree shapes from the green felt.
  4. Cut out a small rectangle of brown felt to use as the tree trunk.
  5. Decorate the tree shapes with sequins and beads. Use any colors and designs that you like!
  6. Embroider the decorations onto one of the tree shapes. This will be the front of the decoration.
  7. Using a hot glue gun, glue the trunk to the bottom of the front tree shape, making sure to leave enough space at the top for the stuffing.
  8. Stuff the decoration with stuffing.
  9. Glue the back tree shape onto the front shape, making sure to line up the edges.
  10. Use embroidery floss to stitch the edges of the decoration together.
  11. Add any additional decorations (such as a star on top), and your decoration is complete!
  12. Repeat these steps to make as many decorations as you like.
