How to

Step 1: Cut the Fabric
Start by washing and ironing your fabric to remove any wrinkles. Then, using the pattern provided, cut out the pieces for the dress.
You should have:
- 1 front piece
- 1 back piece
- 2 sleeve pieces
Step 2: Sew the Shoulder Seams
Lay the front and back pieces right sides together, matching the shoulder seams. Pin and sew the seams using a 1/2 inch seam allowance. Finish the raw edges with a zigzag stitch or serger.
Step 3: Attach the Sleeves
With the dress still inside out, lay one of the sleeve pieces right sides together with the armhole, matching the notches. Pin and sew the seam using a 1/2 inch seam allowance. Repeat for the other side.
Step 4: Sew the Side Seams
Starting from the bottom hem, sew the side seams of the dress using a 1/2 inch seam allowance. Finish the raw edges with a zigzag stitch or serger.
Step 5: Hem the Dress
To finish the dress, hem the sleeves and bottom hem using a 1/2 inch hem allowance. Press the hem with an iron to give it a professional finish.
And voila! You now have your very own balloon sleeve dress that you made from scratch. Wear it with pride and show off your sewing skills.
We hope you enjoyed making this dress as much as we enjoyed sharing it with you. Happy sewing!
