Christmas Tree Advent Calendar Sewing Pattern

So here's what you'll need:
Description:
- Fabric (green for the tree, and whatever color you want for the pockets)
- Fusible web
- Scissors
- Iron
- Sewing machine or needle and thread
- 24 small items to put in the pockets (candy, small toys, etc.)
- Ribbon or twine to hang the calendar
Materials:
First things first, you need to cut out your tree and pockets. The tree is made up of 8 individual triangles, and you'll need to cut out 24 pockets. The pattern and measurements can be found on AllFreeSewing.com.
Pattern Sizes:
Next, you'll need to add the pockets to the tree. Lay out your triangles in the shape of a Christmas tree, and then start attaching the pockets. You can use fusible web to iron the pockets in place before sewing around the edges. Make sure to leave the top of the pockets open!
How to:
Once you have all of your pockets attached, it's time to add the numbers! You can use a stencil and fabric paint, or even a permanent marker if you want to keep it super simple. Just make sure to add the numbers in the correct order- you don't want to accidentally give someone the wrong advent gift on the wrong day!
Finally, add a ribbon or twine to the top of your calendar so you can hang it up. Then fill the pockets with your small items- get creative with it! And voila- you now have a beautiful, personalized advent calendar that you made yourself. It's the perfect way to count down to Christmas and add some extra holiday cheer to your home.
So there you have it- a DIY project that's definitely worth the effort. Try it out for yourself and let me know how it turns out! I'm so excited to see all of your creations.
