Description

Materials
- 2 yards of a soft and flowy fabric
- 1 yard of elastic waistband
- Matching thread
- Scissors

How to Make the Skirt
1. First, you need to measure your waist to determine the size of the elastic waistband you need. Cut the elastic to that size and sew it together to form a circle.
2. Next, you need to measure the length you want for your skirt. Cut a piece of fabric to that length and then cut another piece of fabric to the same length, but twice the width you want your skirt to be.
3. Sew the two pieces of fabric together at the shorter ends so you have a long tube.
4. Hem the bottom of the skirt by folding over the fabric twice and sewing it in place.
5. Find the center of the top of the skirt and pin the elastic waistband to it. Then, pin the rest of the waistband to the skirt, making sure it is evenly distributed.
6. Sew the waistband to the skirt, stretching the elastic as you go, so it fits comfortably around your waist.
7. Finally, add the pockets to the skirt. Take two pieces of fabric and cut them to the desired size and shape of your pockets. Hem the sides and bottom of each pocket. Then, pin the pockets to the skirt where you want them and sew them in place.
