Materials:
- 1 yard of fabric for exterior (canvas, denim, or other sturdy fabric recommended)
- 1 yard of lining fabric (cotton or polyester recommended)
- 1/2 yard of fusible fleece interfacing
- 1/2 yard of foam interfacing
- 1/2 yard of mesh fabric for pocket lining
- Hardware:
- 1 backpack zipper
- 2 side release buckles
- 2 slide adjusters
- 1 slider
- 4 D-rings
- 4 swivel lobster clasps
Pattern Sizes:
The Denver Backpack comes in one size, measuring 15" x 12" x 5". However, if you need to adjust the size, the pattern can easily be modified to fit your needs.
How to:
1. Cut out all pieces according to the pattern instructions.
2. Fuse the fleece interfacing to the exterior fabric pieces and the foam interfacing to the lining fabric pieces.
3. Sew the front pocket and side pocket pieces together. Attach the mesh lining to the inner pocket piece.
4. Sew the main exterior pieces together, adding the front pocket and straps as well.
5. Sew the lining pieces together, leaving a small opening to turn the bag right-side out.
6. Attach the hardware, including the zipper, buckles, and D-rings.
7. Place the lining inside the exterior of the bag, right sides together, and sew around the top edge.
8. Turn the bag right-side out through the opening in the lining.
9. Stitch the lining opening closed and enjoy your new Denver Backpack!
